With over three decades of distinguished experience in Global Markets and Investment Banking, Abhijit has built a career marked by leadership, innovation, and execution across diverse financial domains. His career began in Equity Capital Markets, leading teams at boutique investment banks and successfully closing landmark deals in Infrastructure, Project Finance, and Advisory. Abhijit’s global markets expertise took shape in the early 2000s when he held senior positions at Citibank N.A., Deutsche Bank, and Nomura, gaining deep expertise in cross-border financing and capital markets. He then co-founded Azalea in partnership with the Emkay Group, bringing entrepreneurial vision to structured finance and advisory. Spearheaded marquee financing transactions exceeding $30 billion across Acquisition & Leveraged Finance, Asset Finance, Project Finance, Real Estate Financing, Structured Finance, and Special Situations, executed in both local and foreign currencies. He is a qualified Mechanical Engineer with Honors degree from Jabalpur Engineering College and MBA in Finance and Marketing from University Institute of Management, Jabalpur.
